Today, there was a diaper deal through Babies R Us. But I didn't want to go all the way out of my way just for a pack of diapers. The email I was sent reminded me of Wal-Mart's price matching. Duh! Grabbed my coupon, printed the ad and headed out.
I couldn't find what I really wanted. I had to get a package of those Huggies 'jeans' diapers. I don't really understand that appeal. I figured that Ivy would be pretty much covered any way so I went ahead and got it.
Original price: $8.97
Ad: This pack = $5.00
Coupon: $1.50 off.
I saved $5.47!
And a bonus, I made the cashier mad!
When we got home, I found a booklet of coupons waiting for me in my mailbox! Incidentally, I did start a coupon binder. Like I said, small time.
And I've set myself up with a spreadsheet so I can see my savings per month. I'm doing pretty well for a beginner!
